Fringe Society
Fringe Society is about creating a home, wherever you may be. As expats we often find ourselves living on ‘the fringe’ of societies around the world. Immersed in different cultures and beliefs, day-to-day life can be unpredictable and challenging, which is why our home becomes our haven.
Drawing on my love of natural materials, textures and tones, I find inspiration in the contrasts of my surroundings: raw & luxe | natural & manmade | bold & subtle.
GULFA Water
GULFA, founded in 1975, comes from the natural sources of Masfout Mountains in the southeast of the UAE.
These mountains are highly fertile valleys that have running water throughout the year, which makes it the optimum source for natures best mineral balanced water.
Hamda Al Fahim
UAE-based designer Hamdaโs journey into the world of fashion wear is a journey of following oneโs instinct, in answering oneโs true calling in life.
She grew up in the capital city of Abu Dhabi. She graduated from the College of Art and Science and embarked on her career as an interior designer. But her heart was marching to its own beat from a very young age.

Reform
Reform Social & Grill is Dubaiโs first true gastropub, brought from one of Londonโs most vibrant venues, Reform Social & Grill London. The restaurant offers traditional British breakfast, lunch and dinner classics as well as a seasonal barbeque, and limited edition menus.
Tawa Bakery
Tawa is a unique 100% gluten-free bakery and cafรฉ in Abu Dhabi founded on a belief that eating gluten-free should never mean sacrificing taste or quality. Our original menu includes freshly baked breads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas and desserts that are wholesome, delicious and made with naturally gluten-free ingredients.
Mai Dubai
Mai Dubai as a company was established in December 2012, but construction only started in June 2013 and the facility was completed in a matter of 11 months. After the successful commissioning of our machines, our sales team went to market in March 2014. We realised early on that the brand represents Dubai, a global brand which stands for high quality, high standards and a grand consumer experience, so there is no compromise when it came to our effort and investment towards building a best-in-class company. In terms of our name, we needed something different so Mai is the spoken way of saying water in Arabic and In English when someone hears Mai Dubai they think โmy Dubaiโ so it becomes very easy to remember either way.
After over four years since the launch of Mai Dubai, it has become one of the leading bottled drinking water companies in the UAE, and certainly a highly popular brand. Today Mai Dubai is a household name not only in the UAE but in several markets around the world.

Mleiha
Mleiha, a UNESCO-nominated World Heritage Site in the Central Region of the Sharjah map, is home to a number of significant sites, including Bronze Age tombs and pre-Islamic forts. Fascinating artifacts and fossils were discovered here, including pottery, iron tools and camel skeletons. The Mleiha Archaeological Centre, which opened in 2016, houses these discoveries and even more artifacts that uncover ancient UAE history.
The centre also offers a range of tours and activities. You can explore the archaeological sites or venture into the sand dunes with a desert safari. Alternatively, you can also try other desert adventures like riding a quad bike or dune buggy over the sand. If you prefer to go on foot, consider trekking to Camel Rock for an expansive view of the desert. The surrounding area is a beautiful location for a desert camp on soft dunes and under glittering night stars.
